Gosset Grande Reserve 750 ML
Using Chardonnay from nine grand cru vineyards, this enticing Champagne offers aromas reminiscent of a wild orchard, where black cherries, bilberries and wild brambles offer authentic and juicy fragrances. Alert, elegant and distinguished, it is long, potent and irresistible on the palate.
In 1584 Pierre Gosset, alderman of Aÿ and wine-grower, made red, mostly still wines from the grapes he harvested from his own vines. During the 18th century the wine made in and around Aÿ began to bubble, and the Gosset family naturally turned to the production of Champagne.
They use the best villages of the Marne region (grand crus and premier crus) where the level of classification is an outstanding 95% on the official cru scale. At Gosset, part of the wine-making process takes place in wooden vats for the cuvées presented in the old-style bottle. No malolactic fermentation is permitted, in order to préserve the fine malic acid that retains the typically fruity aroma of the wines.
